    Crazy Miss Vegas

Hey guys . Looking for some info on my boat. My vegas is a very stable boat at 50mph. Can run it all day without even the thought of a crash. Now thats with 7.4 volt bats. Put in 11.1 bats and it will go 60mph... 60.8 best mph but it "chine" walks? ...I guess thats what its called . I can actually watch it yank itself to its left and at the same time lift the sponson 6-8 inches out of the water. When i finally get it up to speed its seems to be ok. The funny thing is when this boat was nitro it would go 53-55 all day without even a hint of anything. No lifting, walking or blowovers. I felt that this boat was so stable that it would be perfect for electric conversion and faster speeds. Now it excelerates so hard i can crash it a 45 mph if im not carefull. I feel she will go 63-65 if i can settle it down. I also have moved batteries all around and even slid the strut 1/4 inch to the right to help eliminate the sponson lift. Tried smaller props and problem goes away but boat slows way down. Pretty sure this is a prop issue. Any ideas/ Thanks

Well i will tell you what... one day i saw a guys boat..Genettico...on You Tube and decided to convert to electric, i was hooked. I copied his set up and got great advice from him but i just could not get it right because i was pushing the speed. So i started from scratch again . The problem is the boat is heavy when done so i decided to go with a NEU 1521 1.5D because it has good rpm and great torque. A Hydra 240 is used along with two 7.4 volt batts or 11.1 batts. My prop i use after at least 8 i tried from my collection is a M545. Run time ...Fun... Speed is what the 7.4 volt batts charged to 8.3 volts gives me with 50 mph tops all day. It will not break out of 50 flat with this combo. The boat is fun and stable. This set up is great and you will not have any problems with batteries, heat or anything else. Copy that and you will be happy. Now......of course you get used to 50 and want more and thats where the problems came in but i think i have it licked with one of three new props i just bought. I am not giving up untill i see a solid 64-65 mph because i know she has it in her. I do have some almost new 7 and 8 xl motors and the right props that with a 120 hydra will put you safely at 45-47 if you are interested. Let me know.Oh by the way here is a short vid with a nice boat cart wheel LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPc77o_KXyI
