Mounting my motor in the boat

I am unsure how I should mount my motor in my boot. Should I put it at an angle towards the back of the boat. Or should I put it in so it is level with the bottom of the boat

put it at an angle....that way the prop (if using a fex shaft) can get as close as you can get it to the bottom of the hull and flatten out...if using a solid shaft, still put the engine at an angle and use a flex coupler to get that bend you need to flatten out the shaft as close to the bottom of the hull as you can...

Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards mounting it at an angle.

A Syncron. For now I am using a SV27 motor but I plan on putting a XL motor later on.
