There is no such thing as a 150C lipo. Its pure marketing nonsense. Actual load testing demonstrates that 45C is about the best any lipo can provide, and those are SMC packs that can do that. Danny, the owner of SMC says he is forced to use these inflated marketing numbers because its the only way to get those that understand very little about lipos and believe the fake numbers to buy his products.

Think about what 150C would actually mean if real. In our world it would mean that a typical 5,000 mAh pack would be 150 X 5 = 750 Amps which is absolute nonsense! The pack would be drained within seconds, the connectors would melt and wires would cook at those values, so its obvious nonsense for anyone who has even the most basic understanding of battery physics.

The more realistic 45C gets you 225A which is really great, and you are are already using the best packs on the planet if using SMC. Everything else is a downgrade from here, so dont believe the label and look at the actual load testing data instead.

The SMC SRD cells have tested the best on my meters followed by the RoaringTop 80C cells.

I've used Roaring Top (3S, 4S, 6S) in F5J sailplanes, helis and a variety of other planes. They make good packs
          Don't get me started

You what to find a good battery put it in a boat that will suck down a 9000mah pack in 2 minutes and see the speed difference. I was shocked by the SMC 150c packs.

Running the SMC packs in my SAW boat with the hopes of more speed did nothing for me ...but they where for sure a cheaper option.

Have any of you tried Onyx batteries? Pretty much everyone is using either Onyx or SMC in the RC car SAWs scene (which is much bigger than the RC boat SAWs scene).
