I used a Styrofoam cooler that my Omaha steaks were shipped in. I cut off the 2 longest sides with a kitchen knife and then cut the v shape to match my hull in either end. It is for a 33 inch deep vee hull and was free for me. It doesn't look the prettiest, but it's definatly functional and soft enough that it doesn't scratch the hull at all. It holds the bottom of the vee about a foot high and you can cut it down to whatever height you want.

Some people assemble it outta PVC pipes... it seems to be very popular around here.

What Ub, are you not a fan of the PVC stands? Or do you only have riggers anymore? LOL

Here's one I threw together out of some plastic tubing from an old sectional plastic curtain rod

                  Hi Jimmy.
Here's a couple of views of the stand for the X-WING.
Three bits of wood & some aluminium angle. Screwed & glued.
It can be adapted to all sorts of hull types.
                  Cheers.
                  Paul.
