What's the best way to wire a motor to an esc? I obviously was thinking with deans plugs or just straight direct wire. I don't plan to swap motors or esc on my boat unless something goes.

Bullet connectors are the best for motor to esc. Deans for battery to esc. Solder everything of course:) -

My 700s are all wired direct to the ESC, no plugs. Make certain that you use polarized plugs between the ESC and the pack or you will blow an ESC sometime.
