Ship Ahoy Model still confused about ESC size

    I need some help.

I purchased a ?Ship Ahoy? brand hydroplane off of ebay about 5 years ago and I?d like to finish it as a FE .The model is 36? long 18? wide at the sponsons. Probably weighs 10 lbs with motor mounted - couple pictures attached

I?ve already purchased the running gear and mounted the motor (a Leopard 4092/1390 Kv/rpm per volt 2Y) a few years ago then stopped working on it. I would like to get it running.

Running a 6s configutation with Octura X450/3?because I found someone else pick this prop as a good starting point.

Question: would a OSC raider 150 ESC work with this configuration ? Is it big enough?

I?m not racing this boat, just for pleasure. If I could get it to go 40mph with 10-15 minutes run I?d be plenty happy.

I?m new at this first RC boat, first everything

I get it's not a high amp build but the raiders are Barely capable of 150 amp. They are reliable to a point. I would maybe go with a Hobby Wing SeaKing 180 v3 instead. If you really want to not have any issues. go with the new Castle Creations HYDRA X 8S

150 is way too small for that.
ZTW 200 if you are looking to save a buck.
Or go Hydra and never buy an ESC again.
