TFL T-JET SMALL jet drive b54253-a and set up ?

Hi all looking to buy and install the small TFL jet drive in a 24 inch wood mono where i can modify hull bottom to install this unit. From looking at the add they suggest 36 mm dia motor. First of all i have no experience on setting up jet drives ! The bare hull weight is 17 oz . What KV motor and voltage be suggested ? Has anyone installed and used this unit ? Is there other jet drives that are better quality ? I have looked around on the net but found little info on youtube they have lot of r/c jet boat videos but the most information i got was the running voltage that was used ! Regards Andris Golts.

Yep, I made a jet boat in 2021. Used an old flattie hull with that jet unit. Used a SSS3674 1700 kv on 4s. I think the boat was around 26-28". It ran quite well, but was typically of a jet boat was prone to spinning out when turning.

Sorry I don't have any pics of the inside set up. I sold it, the current owner actually messaged me recently, he is rebuilding the boat due to useage damage.

I originally used the reverse bucket, but changed that for the standard nozzle as the reverse unit isn't a very good design IMO.
