I have found that the strut length made all the difference in a mono i was running when it was proposing

Drive angle and weight distribution can be pretty finicky on exact placement, but many people have been able to find an acceptable balance, so it can be done. With that said, you'd want to look at the bottom of the hull next, and the last two sets of ride pads in particular. Does the hull sit flat when placed on a perfectly true surface like a stone countertop, or will it rock side to side? If you place a straight edge across each of the two ride rear ride pads on each side, are the surfaces true or are they sunken, creating pockets? That can cause bouncing. You may need to sand any high spots, and fill any low spots to get a perfectly flat ride surface. Finally, check the height on the drives and make sure they're both installed at the same level on the rear of the sponsons.

              Sounds like a good idea

You can't change the length of the struts on the Geico 36. They are already longer than the struts on the Zelos 36 which the Geico 36 is based off of.

Op when you adjusted the strut heights did you use a gauge so that they were exactly the same height or did you do it by eye with a ruler? I made an aluminum gauge so that I could make sure they were even.

the boat is teetering around the center of gravity. First thing to do is set the strut to neutral then set the CG to 30%. Run the boat to check if it is better. If not try 32% CG.

the lower you run the strut on a cat the faster the boat goes but more lose it runs. you want it level with the sponsons ride pad. start with a 90 degree angle and play with a little positive angle.

Found this on the site a while back . It should help.5431.jpg

Positive angle is fast and loose . Negative angle is slower = Wet . Forces the front of the boat down.

Even though the pic is of a mono hull it still works the same on Cats and Hydros.

Fixed height drives on the Geico twin, can't adjust height, only trim angle.
