Sport Hydro setup / XLX2 logs

    Hello all,

Trying to fine tune a new setup using a XLX2, it's my first time trying to setup using one,

how much attention can be paid to the logs? I've noticed I had something in the logging / setup for a 2 pole motor so my RPM graph is probably hugely skewed.

the setup is a 45" sport hydro Neu 1521 1Y (1577) I ran it on 6s today, X447/3 from AndyB,

Does the fact its a 4 pole skew the amp draw also? it ran mid 50's, I'd like to squeeze some more out of it on the straights my next prop up is a 457/2.

    Any suggestions?

There are drop-down menus in the top left corner of the graph for you to set the proper gear ratio and motor pole information, so the RPM is correct

The voltage and current values have nothing to do with any of this though, and they are what they are

you need to get rid of all the parameter except amps or watts. either one. It seems fairly low if the average is something around 2500w. which if correct is pretty good for a boat that large. That's close to a P hydro power draw. My phil thomas Q draws about 3200-3400w @ 62-63mph.

I'm not exactly sure about the RPM, but 1577kv at 25ish volts (39,425 unloaded RPM); the log doesn't seem to be completely out of wack. Amp Draw looks reasonsable. However, going from an X447/3 to a X457/2 is a pretty steep increase.... I would higly advise work up on prop gradually. an X450/2 ---> X450/3 ---> X452/2 would be the progression I would be looking at.

Unfortunately I don’t have many mid size props, my box just jumps into the 60mm+ 1/4” drive after the x457,

          I’m thinking to throw a abc2016 on

I understand what your saying with working up, however these amp draws are not even 1/3 of what a xlx2 can handle so might just roll the dice a little…

            Ran It today on 8s,

            First graph is the 447/3

            second the 2016/2

picked up about 4-5mph on the 2016 think I need to invest in some bigger props.

Here a graph from my Q Hydro tp 4070 motor using two 6s HRB 4000mah lipos running a Dr Prop 648 3 blade. Boat runs 78- 82 mph on a oval race course. I cant say if this is good or bad but you can see the numbers compared to yours.
