    Hydra XL2 telemetry questions

    Hi guys!

I recently bought an Castle XL2 ESC. Before the first run I decided to test the telemetry and was confused by some numbers. Comparison of telemetry data with real ones using the example of the TP4060 1750Kv on 6s:

    • No-load current 13A by telemetry (that's a lot) and 3.5A by multimeter (that's normal).
    • No-load 65 000 rpm on 23.8v by telemetry but it should be around 41 600 rpm on 1750Kv.
    • On the telemetry graphs my motor is marked as a two-pole motor, but in reality the TP4060 is a four-pole motor.

Where is the error and how to read the telemetry of this ESC?

You read the stored data files in the Castle Link Graph Viewer. You can set the motor pole/gearing info for proper RPM in the top left corner of the Data Viewer. All graph settings are under the Edit and View dropdown options as seen in the attached images

Thank you very much, now everything is better
But the no-load current of 7-14A still confuses me. Isn't it too much for such a motor? What current will it be at 100% load?
