    Mlboatworks GSX315v2 FE power

    Hello all. Currently building a GSX315v2. Im planning on running a TP 3640 - 2600kv @ 4S.

There's not too much space in this boat so will a seaking 120a v3 be able to handle this? Not sure what prop I'll run. Still need to research a good starting point. Also, won't be racing. Mostly speed runs and sport driving.

no a seeking 120A will not cut it. not even remotely close. you're going to need a castle X8s or XLX2.

if you're not racing why go with a small motor like that? run a leopard 4092 or something and spend your money on batteries and the ESC. TP motors aren't special there's no reason to buy one and then have to skimp on the important stuff.

Agreed the 120A ESC will likely not cut it. An X8S would be perfect. You will want to run smaller props in the 38-42mm range to keep the load reasonable. The TP3640 is a good motor, just need to manage the load.

So if I run a leopard 4092 what ESC do you recomend to pair with it?

I run a GP310 with a TP4050 2100kv motor and OSE Raider 150. I oval race it and usually propped for around 90+ kph. It can and does go faster if propped up, but can come unstuck pretty quick if the water ripple gets much above 2". My only regret with this boat is that I should have got the bigger 338.
