Motor & ESC - Need Suggestions - For 32" Wooden Wild Thing Build

What motor & ESC combo for John Finch's 32" Wild Thing? Enjoying this build and want to set it up for bashing as I prefer to play in the slop, get the boat loose on the water with a little air under it. Chasing big #'s isn't a priority.

Currently have a brand new 3660-1620kv and SeaKing 120 from a new TFL Pursuit I bought. Ended up selling the hull and hardware but kept these two items. Thoughts on this setup for the WT?

    Budget minded, but not cheap.
    Thanks!

meh too small of an ESC. just use the motor, get a raider 150A and a 5016 cnc brass prop since ABC are perennially out of stock. if you can find one at say bonzi sports a 1719 or 1917.

have you considered a used or chinese nitro engine? you can use an air cooled buggy engine like a .21 or .28. super cheap route and extremely fun to mess with. fuel is expensive but a gallon will last you like 30 outings. Im at the point where I havent touched my electric boats in months I have so much fun with gas and nitro stuff.

I also love gas/nitro boats. Problem is where I live it is very difficult to find a place to run a gas/nitro boat, or anything for that matter. Can always go out in the gulf but I am not a fan of running these boats in salt water.

generally anywhere that allows full size boats will allow gas and nitro. like county or state lakes for instance. FL has the highest concentration of RC boat clubs of any state. Have you looked at NAMBA or IMPBA?
