    OS Lower Unit maintenance

In between the using of this lower unit with a brushless motor, if I don?t use it too frequently, what maintenance do I need to be doing ?
    Really appreciate it
    Thanks

You should pull the stub shaft assembly out along with the cable at the end of the day and soak the cable in ATF or your preferred lube. I would do the same for the stub shaft assembly.

Keep in mind. The the stub on an OS is a left hand thread.

Hello! I'm a newbie, can you explain to me why it is necessary to soak the cable in ATF or lubricant? How long do I need to soak?

Letting it soak in oil allows time for the oil to penetrate into the cable widings, eliminating rusting, and increasing the life of your cable.
