For a new build I really wanted a stern leg outdrive but there is just nothing on the market that will do the job. The TFL P1 is a good scale size but just wouldn't cut it for 6s power and reliability with high maintenance.
The bigger stuff is just too big and would still have maintenance and reliability issues.
The answer, a steerable outdrive using a flex shaft. At first I was considering modifying a 3.5 outboard leg, but after looking at the TFL geared outboard, decided that this had the look that I wanted. So I bought one.
