Sweet thanks for sharing! That looks like a great spot to me but i live in a semi-arid high desert climate. :)

It looks like it rips too!

don't go for 16s the hull get to heavy ,stay on 12s and go for better batteries and ABC props with the xxxx-17 props you will gain more speed (CNHL and Graphene panther are very good batt's)

            I run a 850kv on 12s and a 43mm prop, flier ESC, 42" cat. that prop pulls 7,000w @ 36k RPM with 60mph lapping speeds.
your 790KV should be turning about 30-33k RPM. that X465 prop would be WAYYY too big. what are your temps after 1-2 minutes?
you should be hitting in the 80-85mph range with that prop and RPM.

Thanks for answer, the prop seems to be quite big...
No matter how Hard i push it, motor and esc temp never go higher then 35 degrees (celsius) when i measure att shore, maybe 45sec for me to pull the hatch.
I have a few props to test with, maybe I Will get more rpm

I have a motor like that. a rocket RC rated for 1600w max. I regularly push it past 2200w for long periods, 3-4 minutes, and it NEVER gets hot. My TP 5670 gets 120f+ just running 6,000w on 12s. Maybe that hull has really good hydro-dynamics?

I cant recommend enough to order yourself a Hyperion Emeter2. Its a data logging system for $10.

also order yourself 4 shunts and run 2 in parallel, 2 for spares
                x2 RPM sensors
                x2 temp sensors #1 + #2/3
                x1 extra data cable

should be about $45 or so with shipping and it will tell you everything thats going on.

I also agree about staying with 12s. the only way to lower amps is to lower the KV and get the same speed as 12s but with more battery. If everything is fine right now just stay there. Like I said you should be able to get into the 80's mph.

                  Latent testrun.
Octura 465 prop, works well, balancing got much better after i raised the prop shaft.
This is the first run that felt reel good.
Put my Phone inside, started my bicycle app. Top speed 65mph.
But its a bit slow to update so I would say 65mph is a minimum.
Cant wait to try with other batteries.
