I?m seeing great reviews on this boat but always wonder about the bias of the reviewer.
Looks like an out of the box home run for the beginner.
what?s up with that?
Yes, the guy doing the review seems to be in the RC business, cars, boats etc…..
He rated it his favorite in 2022.
That’s not important but the video was quite impressive. He couldn’t flip it even if he tried. Full speed turns over wakes…..
Everything is included, at a decent price.
Seems like a good setup to learn on and maybe even rig it up for a retrieval vessel down the road.
Does that sound like a reasonable plan?
The ProBoat stuff is great for those just getting started with something prebuilt. Ive owned a few myself over the years just to have an easy basher to play with if I didn't want to bother building from ground up. I currently have a ProBoat Miss Geico twin cat.
Yes, you can build better stuff yourself, but it will give you the experience you need in the beginning to see just how these things operate and what their limits are, so you could then do a custom build in the future if you wish. It's also a self righting model even if you did flip it, which you will 100% do at some point! All RC boats end up upside down at some point
And yes, a lot of the videos on these boats you see on YT are from "influencers" getting paid for clicks, but they are easy to spot as the praise will seem a bit over the top like an infomercial. The ProBoat brand has been around for years, and isnt some fly by night company that wont be here next week, so there is a lot of user content and reviews of all sorts out there for review.
