    two piece shaft

is it susceptible to shrinkage like the one piece? in talking about spacing the dog to the strut , my zonda 41 came up snug from the factory. I adjusted the spacing on the strut but now i feel like there is not enough flex in the collet to make me think it will stay put at speed..I know it can't come out as the strut shaft has a register on it but , still ???

It will still shrink, but it is accounted for where the two pieces come together. So you don't need to run a gap between the strut and drive dog.

However, the two-piece shafts are a huge pain in my mind, despite that advantage, because to remove the shaft in order to grease it, you have to remove the strut and loose your strut settings every single time. Not worth it IMO.
