break away bolt

newbie here, broke my break away bolt on a sonic wake v2, do I put 1 or 2 nuts on the bolt ?

I've only ever used one nut; just snug. Not overly tight.

Assuming it's a nylon shear bolt, a single nut is fine. If its a brass bolt, make sure it's a locknut. The nut just keeps the bolt from falling out, it doesn't provide a clamping force on the rudder blade. That's the pivot nut/bolt's job.

Find solder that fits the hole size, bend both sides to keep it in place. Cheap and easy to put on.

I here some just use a zip tie and they come in different color's.
