    Info on wire drives!

Looking for a wire-drive system for my Q-hydro. Would like the system Brent Byers was offering, but can't find a link.
    Amy help would be applicated.
    Thanks,
    Wayne

      Hello guys,

I am helping Brent sort out what wire drive sizes to produce for FE.

He has the following combo's if you ask for them:

      1. 1/4" stub shaft to 3mm wire drive (bottom piece)
      2. 1/4" stub shaft with 3/16" step down to 3mm wire (middle piece)
      3. 3/16" stub shaft to 3mm wire. (top piece)
      4. 3/16" stub shaft to 2.5mm wire (not shown)

Depending on your setup and RPM I would opt for the 2.5mm wire to 3/16" for mid to high RPM setups or 3mm to 3/16" stub shaft combo for low RPM setups with larger props.

Just chatted with him, 2.5mm are available. I've been running one with 3/16 stub for last month in p-ltd whiplash and its holding up very well.

He has a couple other pretty neat products too.

Brent will also be offering a reasonably priced collet for the wire drives. The Speedmaster or Franz Spannagel collets are the highest quality but are pretty expensive. Brent has a good quality collet at a more more reasonable price.
