TP 4050 1570 kv, it can get you at 100kph range with a 45-47 mm prop. I have run one in my DF Pirate 35" at those speeds.

Andris - to come up with a sensible package (as in building a sprint racer that can go mill + 6 +1 ) on a 1/6 mile course I'd adhere to the good old chart for KV vs Voltage.* To keep your 6S rpm in the "golden comfort range" a TP Power 4050 5Y [1330 kV ] will yield @29500 at the prop unloaded. Nice handling in the 50 mph range. The TP Power 4060 4Y [1350 KV ] will yield @ 29,900 at the prop unloaded and will pull lots of prop to get you up around the 60's.

          4060 motor is big and heavy (34" hull) , prefer a 4040 (40mm x 74mm) TPPower motor 1500kV to 1700kV with a 6S setup.

A 4050 - 82mm length would be on the ragged edge but manageable. 1400-1600kv for sure. We have guys using 4040 74mm length motors for our Q limited racing running high 50's easily. A great match for a 34" hull with longer run times. 120-140 amps on 6S.

Take Tony's advice. If you plan on running a heavier 2P setup the 4060 is the way to go. If you run a lighter weight 1P setup go with the 4050. I would stick to the lower end of the KV range. 1200-1400 will allow 44-50mm props.

Max amps on a 4060 1350 kv is 163 according to TP Power website.. Props that will stay under that and get 60+ mph????

I run that TP motor in my Q hydro. We have a max limit of 6000mah for the class here. It runs around 65 mph on an ABC 1915/45/17 prop. I can do a heat race on 5500mah batts like this.
I tried also the TP4050 1570 motor in the same boat with an ABC 1814/45/17 and managed 70mph on the oval with the gps.

I cannot tell you exactly, but it has a V2 T-180 esc and I am able to do a 5 lap + mill heat race with it on 5500 mah. So it has it has to be around 110A average draw. I have no datalog, nor do I care for one. What natters is how fast I get it to go and how many mah go back into the batt. I don't like going below 20% and it is right there with the setup.

Both. I was running a ZTW 200 but changed to the T-180 to lose a bit of weight.

So I'm going to run the tp4060 1600kv with the T-180 and try the 45 mm props. Thank you for the info.
