    Mono build

Hey guys, hoping I could get some recommendations on a mono hull to start a build on. I am looking for advise on hulls in the 48 to50 inch size. Been looking at MHZ hulls as well as the ML Boatworks mono but am open to others. I am wanting something that can handle a little rougher water than my Zonda can handle. I am limited to early morning or just before dark with the Zonda presently. I am sorta leaning toward the MHZ Ocean Spray but am open to other recommendations from more experienced builders. Thanks,

Seaducer has a pretty sweet looking mono around that size.
Doesn’t sound like you will be racing?

Thanks, I will look at the Seaducer as well. No racing just sport running.

What about the delta force DF90, 49.5". OSE sells it, very happy with my DF23.

How Rough water are we talking about here? If you are talking 2-6" chop then depending what your goals are a 36-44" hull on 6-10s will be fine if you are just bashing about. Set up and balance are as important as size in rough water.

Take a close look in the video screenshot at the front deadrise as the boat passes on the front straight; the wetted surface is short for a 48" hull - less wetted surface = less parasitic drag = less power consumption/more speed. These hulls are specifically made for IC racing and are way studier than a Chinese hull (not that there's anything wrong with Chinese hulls). Be interesting to see how a FE version would turn out
