Prather fun cruiser shaft

Hello.
I couldn't find sub forum for gas boats. If there is you can move this thread.
I have prather fun cruiser. Boght it last year for 180 in good shape. Runned it couple times and its awesome. I never worked on a gas boat before. Can someone give me some directions how to remove and grease cable shaft. Do I have to remove the engine?

There's likely a collet on the output shaft of the engine that grips the end of the flex cable. Put two wrenches on that and loosed it up, then pull the cable out the back. Lots of variations to that process, so if it doesn't turn out to be that simple, post some pictures of your cable setup both at the motor and at the strut.
