    Dynamite 1900kv/Seaking 180 wiring

So in a rushed attempt (kids, work, life, etc) I snipped and lost track of the colors the motor in my PB Sonicwake and need to connect it to my new Seaking ESC. Would someone be willing to help me and which wires from the motor go to the wires in the SK 180 esc? I usually always clip on at a time (I am changing connectors so snipped them) then put a bit of heat shrink on the wire to the color it was before snipping. Didnt do that this time. My fault.

    TIA

No problem. There is no risk of damaging either motor/esc by just plugging the three motor wires in to the esc. If the (notorious) motor runs backwards simply switch (a with his) any two and you will be good 2 go.
It is recommended to find that the motor runs backwards before you throw the boat in the water with an expectant crowd awaiting a show.. we’ve all done it!

I think there were some fat finger keys in Jesse's reply... What he was saying after there's no danger in connecting in any order, if the motor spins the wrong direction, swap any two connections between the motor and ESC to change the direction it spins.

Thanks Guys, appreciate your help!! Good the motor rewired correctly...hoping to put boat in water by tomorrow. I have one more question....what should I set the timing at on the ESC? I am running the stock motor - Dynamite 1900/kv and the ESC is a Seaking 180. I have zero experience with even knowing what timing does and looking for recommendations. Thanks again for your help!

The 1900kV Dynamite motor is a D wind, so set the ESC timing to 7.5*, which is what it comes set at from the factory.

For future reference, when you want to know what timing to use, find out whether your motor is a D or a Y wind. Usually that involves the manufacturer's published spec sheet, or a little internet research. In general, D wind motors prefer 0-7.5* of timing and Y wind motors like more, 10-15*.

Well, somehow the automagic correct kicked in and thought it knew what I thunk. I fixed and yes Ryan is an accredited jesseJ interpreter!
