A couple of questions from a newbee electric boat builder.
The hull is a shipsahoy fiberglass hull (that I wish I hadn't bought in hindsite) but I'm trying to put it together the best I can with no prior experience.
1. Any thoughts on where I should mount the electric motor? Is there a rule of thumb on where the electric motor should sit? At the sponsons, rear of the sponsons?
2. Not ever building up one of these before, I am wondering why some builders mount their struts through the bottom and others mount them on the transom.
Advantages of one over the other? I think the through the bottom looks more ?hydroplane like? through the bottom but seem a bunch more are mounted on the transom.
