TFL Hobbies Company - Customer Service?

I recently purchased a Cheetah from TFL Hobbies and one of the Hobbywing Seaking 180 amp V3 ESC's surges on and off when I hold the throttle in a constant position.

I switched the ESC to the other motor and it also surges with that motor so it is definitely a faulty ESC.

I am unable to get TFL to respond to my warranty requests.

Does anyone have any experience with this (Chinese) company?

    Thanks.

I too had trouble contacting them, I was able to get into contact with them through Facebook.

As the ESC is made by Hobbywing, is suggest you contact them. Unfortunately, my previous experiences with HW support haven't been very good, which is exactly why I try to avoid using any HW products in my land vehicles. As long as it hasn't been too 'long' since you received it (although, HW will probably go by when you ordered the boat), they should cover repairs under their own warranty...but, you will probably also have to provide proof of purchase (which you should have from whomever you ordered the boat through).

        Thanks all for the suggestions.

I am hoping that TFL Hobbies will stand behind their ARTR product.

I just received the boat last month and this problem showed up when I went to set up the electrics over the weekend.

TFL supplied all the electrics so it's essentially brand new.

It turns out that after several hours of troubleshooting I have an intermittent radio.
Switched to a different radio and all is good!

This is a good example why it's better to order from a dealer like Steve is here and let them fix any issues instead of trying to deal with China on your own. You got lucky it wasn't broke.

Even ordering through TFL NA is better/safer than ordering direct, or even ordering through Banggood or King Hobby. With Sandy (TFL NA), at least you're dealing with someone US-based.

At the same time...and, as already pointed out...ordering through Steve @ OSE is your 100% best solution, whether it's for RTRs/ARTRs, or almost everything else. You'll be hard-pressed to find better CS, or speedy shipping.

I purchased through TFL NA and the salesperson was Sandy in Florida.

My emails regarding the ESC problem, missing waterlines and a few missing fasteners seem to have gone into cyberspace.

I don't know if they went to him or to someone in China.

Fortunately I have been able to resolve most of these issues w/o their assistance.

I doubt it's a postal problem. I received some spare drive shafts with no problem so I don't think it is "stuck" in the mail.

I don't think Sandy ever sent the missing water lines.

When you initially contacted him, did he say he actually had it in-stock? Or, as is more likely, dif6f he have to order them from TFL?
