    Linkage rod/thru transom grommet

On my boat I have the linkage rod on the top servo horn for maximum throw, the linkage rod has a bend in it when I run it through the thru transom grommet out to the rudder. Is the bend/flexing and rubbing ok? Servo seems to move fine.

Are you saying the linkage rod rubs on the transom grommet, causing the rod to bend as the servo moves through its arc of travel? I'd say probably not ideal. Are you able to take the linkage out and bend a kink into it so the rod can pass relatively cleanly through the grommet? Might take some trial and error to work out where to bend the rod and by how much. Maybe rig up some brass wire to make a template to work out the angle, then bend your linkage rod to match?

No the linkage rod is already bent/curved cause the the grommet sits low. Servo is high grommets lower rudder rod hole is higher.
