    Q-hydro 200a esc?

I?m building an ML GSX380 w/a TP 5660, 1337 kv D wind for 6s. I won?t be racing this boat unless we can get a few guys in our district to run Q hydro. I want to set it up as if I were going to race it. Will a 200amp Seal cut the mustard for this hydro in race trim? I have higher amp controllers, but want to use this new 200 seal if possible.

    Thanks doodes!316D6CD5-D520-4486-A299-6C401F3C1602.jpg

I have no experience with the Seal controllers, but based on your hardware you will be running 175-225A continuous depending on prop and ride attitude. I don't see any harm in trying it, but use small props in till you know where you stand. Another possibility is using an ESC with logging so you know where you stand on amperage.

Thanks Tyler, I have a couple SF240’s to log with.

      What’s a good starting prop for this rig? 457, 452/3, 2115*17?

That’s what I run. Super water proof and mega solid.

Jesse, do you keep the fan or add liquid cooling?

I would start with a X450/3 or X452/3. The low lift Octura X series usually work well for sport hydro's as a starting point.
