    Futaba and Ztw experts

I have a futaba T4pm and Ztw 300a esc. After I programmed the esc I seem to still have reverse or "brake". Does anyone know how to to remove brake on the radio so if I push the throttle forward it wont cause the motor to reverse. Thankx.

That is typically programmed within the ESC. For ESCs reverse option, there should be a setting within the ESC programming allowing you to have "forward only", or "forward with reverse".

Yes I had done that. But afterwards I was still able to make make it go reverse. I'm familiar w the ztw as I use the 200a in my zonda. Its supposed to not have a signal after putting it in forward position

Can't turn off reverse on the ZTW 300A, one of only a few small complaints I have with that model.

I have the 7PX, which the 4PM is based on. The best of my knowledge, and I could be wrong, there is not a way to disable reverse from within the Tx.

For your answer. It seems you've calibrated the ESC for "two direction mode", as opposed to "one direction mode"...see, it is in the ESC.

              One direction mode:
Step 1. Switch your Transmitter ON and set the throttle stick to its maximum position.
Step 2. Connect the battery pack to the ESC. Wait for about 2 seconds, the motor will beep for twice, then put the throttle in the MINIMUM position, the motor will also beep, which indicates that your ESC has got the signal range of the throttle from your transmitter.

              Two direction mode:
Step 1. Switch your Transmitter ON and set the throttle stick to its maximum position.
Step 2. Connect the battery pack to the ESC. Wait for about 2 seconds, the motor will beep for twice, then put the throttle in the NEUTRAL position, the motor will also beep, which indicates that your ESC has got the signal range of the throttle from your transmitter.

Now so as for what they mean by "MINIMUM position", I'm not entirely certain...but, I think I can figure out out. Based on the wording of the directions, I'd say it's safe to assume that they are intended for use with an air Tx, as surface doesn't have 'sticks'. Based on that...here comes the bad news...if you plan on using a surface Tx, you won't be able to eliminate 'reverse'. The ZTW Seal ESCs have "auto calibration"...however, you can determine the calibration method (ie. One Direction mode, or Two Direction mode). Your only 'options' appear to be too either switch to an air Tx (if you want to remove "reverse")...or, stick with the surface Tx, and live with having "reverse"). There is, technically, a third option - switch to a non-ZTW ESC, sick as a Seaking, OSE Raider, etc.

I only did procedure 1 but it still had signal for brake. But weasel said there was no removal for it. But what I will do is put brake to zero on the radio. That should trick it. I'll report back on my findings.

Glad ya got it resolved...and, at the same time, you probably just helped countless others. Honestly, I didn't want you to have to spend more money on a different ESC. I'll remember that "trick" should I ever get a ZTW Seal ESC.

The 7px you can set the trigger to 100% forward and 0 backward.

See trigger on page 62 of manual:
                        Ratio mode
                        Forward 50:Brake 50
                        Forward 70:Brake 30
                        Forward 100:Brake 0

I'm not using the 7 but my 4pm. I had already solved it yesterday by placing the brake at zero. You probably missed it that I solved it. Thank you though
