Brush cooling

I was wondering if you can brush cool a 05 motor with an open end bell.
Soldering directly to the bush hoods and will salt water short or cause a problem?

You can solder to the brush hoods. Just make sure to remove the brush springs before soldering, so they don't loose tension.

Thanks, for the reply. I was worried that soldering aluminum to the copper end bell would cause a short since I have a cooling coil also.
