Sponson depth for mini hydro

Hi all looking to design a mini sport hydro between 16-20 inch length to run a 28x35 3500 kv outrunner on 3s power. What sponson depth should i be considering for the brushless motors being used at the present time . Regards Andris Golts.

Not sure myself but have a look at Aquacraft's NOS Mini hydroplane. I wish I bought one when they came out. Now they are expensive and hard to come by.
