DF 33 Correct rudder length

Hello,
Hope everyone had a good Xmas,i am about to start to put a df 33 together and was after the correct/best size rudder to use for it,

Most guys say that hull needs a good size rudder. I use a Sport 21 Speedmaster rudder with 1" cut off and it works like a champ. I may even take a little more off but its working nicely the way it is now.

Thanks for your reply, i had a look at the rudder on Speedmasters web site,it does not give a blade length,if possible could you please measure the one you have?

ps i have just measured the one that came with my hull its 4.5 inches from the top to the bottom of the rudder.

I use the speedmaster wedge rudder on mine and cut it down to an overall length of 133mm (just over 5")
