So my kids have dug every old rc car truck airplane and now boat out of the basement. I have converted my 45" vee to electric. Fuze 2200 KV with a 180 amp esc. I have batteries to run on 4s or 6s. Years ago it had a OPS 80 nitro in it. I assume I need to change the prop??? I have removed the old prop and can find no markings on it. I have read several forums about props and I really dont want to kill the esc or motor by selecting the wrong prop. Not going to race it just play around on the lake. I dont remember what brand the haul is but its a late 80's early 90's fiberglass vee. Ill add pictures when i figure out how to.LOL or have the kids do it. Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately, a 2200 Kv motor won’t work in a 45” mono for your use, the Kv is way too high. Motors like that are commonly used in boats around 30” in length on 4S. And the Fuze motor itself is really too small for that boat. Props around the Octura x432 to x435 might not overload your electronics, but they won’t supply enough push to get close to planing the boat. Even if you want to try it anyway, you may need to change the flex cable if the stub shaft is 1/4” as no small props are available with that bore size.
In order to use your 4S and 6S packs a larger motor with a Kv around 800 for 10S (4S and 6S packs in series) or around 1000 for 6S alone. The ESC will need to be capable of 6S or 10S voltage with a minimum of 180-200 amps. Setting up a reliable 45” mono isn’t cheap.
Once you have decided on the motor and voltage we can make appropriate prop recommendations.

If you have a 180a ESC capable of 6S I would recommend 1000 to 1250 kv and around a 40mm X 80 something motor. That's enough wattage to plane your boat with 46-52mm diameter props. 4S will require more amps and higher KV.

here is an inexpensive motor that would fit your needs. Plenty more here on OSE.
