    Prop Tuning For Performance

Are there any good references, theory, or pictures on how to tune props?

Is the Speedmaster Prop Pitch Gauge the next useful tool?

I've figured out on my own how to sharpen and balance props with a prop balancer. I'd like to take it a step further and learn how to fine tune pitch, detongue, cup, etc. I have a decent fine industrial arts background and a steady hand from doing surgery all day - I wouldn't mind taking a stab at it. (No pun intended).

    Here's a couple of links:

RC Boats General Discussion - Prop sharpening & other tips for new boaters - Do I need to sharpen and balance my new prop? The question of whether props need to be sharpened and balanced, and how it should be done comes up often. The answer to the first question, should they be balanced, is absolutely yes! Prop

I hear the Grimracer L series are good hydro props.

Thanks RPC1... These are good links. It will be interesting to see how different these modifications will be over stock props.
