Take it back, RR boats should have a warranty. If they will not take it back there are plenty of folks here who can advise on a good repair solution.

      it depends on:

1- is the crack just the gel coat or does it go thru to the glass?
2- is it a local store?

      I would.

Mate I have never had a ready to run boat, the fun is in the building and set up as well as the running. I think every one who has never built a boat should make a New Years resolution to build a wood hull, something like the Wild Thing or a Whiplash. Both easy builds and very satisfiying. Once you start to build your own the level of understanding how they work increases dramaticly, then S&B your own props learning how to cup and back cut etc. The list goes on and then you will never tier of this hobbie.

Think you ought to reinforce the area where the crack was on the other boats?
