    Motley crue problems

Finally able to try things out with the weather and all (snow showers expected on Thursday here, Yea)
Anyways, my crue will is not going as expected,

    seaking esc 120amp V2
    AQ 3650 2030kv
5mm connectors (both esc side and motor side)
    Grim Racer 42/55 prop b/s
    OSE upgraded flex shaft
1/4" space between dog and strut
strut about 1/8" above and flat to start.
c/g is about 10inches from transom,

Started with 2s4p would not get get up on plane (voltage on all cells 4.2)
Tried 3s6p still would not get up on plane (voltage on all cells 4.2)
Re-position batteries (both sets) front to back for c/g and tried (still no go on both)
Double checked throttle position (Sprectum dex4c tx and sr310rc) seamed A/OK (but not sure) Just doesn't seem like it should be getting the rpm's (on the desk) that it should be getting

Bearings seems to be good, although turning by hand its seams tight (thought that may be because of being 6 pole)

    I'm lost,
Could the motor just have gone be bad? ran great last year

Have you calibrated throttle on esc? What kind of batteries?

Most run this on 4S1P or 4S2P.

Batteries are revilectric's, from OSE (brand new, charged, discharged twice) 3s/70c 5000mah and 2s/70c 5200mah
And Yes I did calibrate the esc to the throttle according to the manual (full throttle, connect batteries to esc wait for beeps, then to neutral)
Still wondering why I need to go half throttle on the transmitter for the motor to start
Do have it set for reverse as well.

Dump the reverse and play around with throttle trim - you'll get it

you could try reverse the throttle and switch 2 wires on the motor/esc side . calibrate again /try /report back

The OP is using four 2-cell packs? And six 3-cell packs? He is clearly confused on battery terminology.

That motor really needs 4S to run right, what voltage is he actually using?

              .
He's got the terminology wrong for sure, but based on what he purchased from OSE, he's tried both 4S and 6S configurations.

I agree, this sounds like a throttle and ESC setup problem. It appears you performed the calibration properly, so double check your throttle trim on the transmitter is set to zero, and if that's not it, definitely try reversing the throttle position switch on your transmitter and then re calibrate the ESC. As mentioned, if you do this, you MUST swap two wire connections between the motor and ESC to keep the motor spinning in the proper direction. If you don't you'll spin the flex cable in the wrong direction and eventually damage it.
