Question

I have a question. Can anyone explain this? When I am unable to get out to the water it's beautiful, no wind, warm and glassy water. When I can(like today) It's cold with 25 to 30mph winds. I am not in a very good mood today to say the least.

thats the same with me...when i go to school, i pass by my lake and its always glassy, but when i get back, it starts to get stormy....its around that time of year when people who live close to the glades get a thrunderstorm every day from around 2-3pm....there may not be as much wind as you, but the lightning makes up for that....

Sounds like welcome to Michigan!!!LOL. I bought heli's and then realized we have a constant 10-15mph winds except when Im at work.

I don't know why but for the last few years it always seems like it's windy all the time when it's sunny out here in NJ!

I know what you mean... but, if your a diehard like a few of us, you go anyway.:D About the only thing that will stop us is lightning.

I have to take the young one to her mothers house soon. I am going to do some recon and check conditions. The Prime lake is out of the question due to the north east wind. The second lake may be workable tward sunset when it lays down a little bit.

My boats are slow (20mph) compared to yours so the only fun is in extreme chop. So I love the wind for now. They actually seem slower on glass. Exchanging paint is fun also. Things will change when I get the SV !

Glass water is slower. That water is refered to as "tight" the quicker water is slight chop or "loose".

wow im enjoying a beautiful mid 70s day with a slight breeze....i cant run my boat though cuz i have to put clearcoat over my new paint.....bad timing

Went out today, windy with a 4-6" chop.....the Shockwave on 7cells was washing out everywhere......almost stuffed it too....the Carribean Cruiser was getting air and really flying downwind.....it's so cool to see the boats in the air......you know....like everyones' avatars !!!!

You are burning something up. Check your temps, look for shorts and prop down.

lol............yeah, I think my boating buddy smoked the twins.......great day till then. We were racing and he had 14 cells in his Caribbean Cruiser. I think we overvolted it. Could be a "scrap it" type of deal.
