6S motor install in 32'' monohull ?

Hi all just installed a Leopard 4074 on a TFL monohull motor mount . To achieve 100 % alignment with the 3/16'' flex shaft the front of the motors water cooling jacket is touching the bottom of the boat. Can this be a vibration issue down the road? Regards Andris Golts.

Can the jacket not be slid back on the motor can at all? I don't see vibration as an issue, but perhaps a crash might result in a pressure point and a crack in the gelcoat. If it's too close, you could always grind a flatspot on the shoulder of the water jacket where it's touching the hull.
