    Elite 30c and 35c Lipo's

Just curious if anyone has any more input on the Elite 30c and 35c Lipo's that are on the market. I am planning on making a large purchase of 2s and 4s Lipo's for next season and for the price of the Elite's I am really tempted to sway away from my FP packs. I know Brian B. says they are great cells and Mike at CBP claims they are the best packs that he has ever tested. I would like to know how they are holding up in our high amp boat app's before I drop another 2 grand in cells for next season.

There are people that sell the best highest quality and won't sell anything just for a buck. There are others that look at the buck first.

I would be looking at Steve Neu's packs if I were racing boats. I don't even like Steve Neu, but he does not sell junk

      Ray,
I've been using the 30c 5300 packs for over a year now with good results.

Well, had I not seen Brian Buaas using the 35C Elites on his Record P and N2 boats and had I not used them myself, I'd inquire about it... but to assume they are junk because of the price? Don't get me wrong, I like NEU batts, but FYI they are not Enerland cells, I don't think many people outside of NEU Motors know what they are... price is just, well... price! I could get junk cells and sell them at a higher price, would that make them good? Probably not.

I'd do a little homework first if there is doubt as far as performance on anything... but it's just me.

Yup, every pack coming from that "China Plant" is Brian Buass quality!

Let me add one other thing....Brian Buass burns through more parts than anyone on the planet as well.

You are probably right on this one... although on the last SAW he did not burn anything.

I like the Elite cells, I also like the Neu cells. I own both, I also pay for my cells (The only thing I don't pay for is radio gear). My Neu and Elite packs are off the shelf stuff, nothing selected or special. I will say that if I knew about a better cell, I'd be using them. I've got a lot of friends who like the Flight Power cells. Mark F likes Thunder Power.

I don't know about all the chinese plants, but I an comfortable recomending the Elite batteries with a clear conscience.

There are lots of good packs out there. Even cheap packs aren't inexpensive. Ask the people you trust for recomendations and buy accordingly.

              Steve,
Yes, I've cooked better than my share of escs. I've also spent more time running things at the limit than just about anyone else. All this and CC asked me for recomendations anyway.

It's sort of interesting about burned up escs. As long as they live up to the manufacturers ratings, I don't burn them up.

I've never burned up a neu motor. I also haven't burned up a current CC esc (OK, 9 hours plugged in on the bottom of Legg Lake killed one). That's two seasons, two nationals, three SAWs and 11 records with no cooked parts.

Just bringing you up to speed on recent events.

Well, Neu's, Flight Power and TP are made in South Korea....I expect them all to be good. I guess Elite's are good as well according to 3 people. I stand corrected. I would not buy any though.
