    Hobbywing ubec

Hello once again all! Question in regards to hobbywing ubec. It is a 5v/6v 3amp max 5amp.

I am running 6s 1600kv 200amp swordfish esc with 3.5amp sbec built into esc. Thinking of running external above mentioned ubec.

I have never had any issues with the esc. Would you guys recommend the ubec? I Have heard stories of ubecs failing and frying receivers and servos. I have very little room left in the cat for a separate battery supply to the receiver nor do I really want to worry about another battery.

Thoughts, positives and negatives about ubec and/or inbuilt sbec?
As stated before no issues to date with the internal sbec.

I run both the 120 and 200....and also have had no issues with the built in sbec....... A high draw digital servo might be an issue though....

I’m running an xq power analog servo 15kg of torque.

So an external Bec would be required more so if running a high amp draw digital servo?

set up Fail Safe into your radio so if power is lost , the boat will stop.

I have several and no problems as long as you take red wire out and tape it to b and w ( signal wire ). Don't cut red wire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
