I don't care how WATERPROOF any esc manufacturer claims, they will still crap out if they get wet. I remember Castle claiming Waterproof. Then I got one wet and it blew. I sent it in to Castle and their first reply was, "Well DOH, you got it wet!"

You say "thanks to fightercat". Is he selling them? If so, why are you going around him and ordering direct from China?

read the thread above , he spoke with the manufacturer and asked them 12 months ago to water cool them as its based off a none water cooled esc . that people were water cooling them selfs ,

Yes but, he stopped selling them because of unreliability.

For cripes sakes if you are going to quote Ben, make it a full relevant quote please, not 1/2 of it. He does not carry these anymore for a reason! Hey. I blew up 6 of them.

            BUY A BETTER ESC!!!

Fighter cat has a couple awesome 300 amp 2-6S esc's on sale for $73.00 or so, you can beat that deal ANYWHERE!!

Those Himodel esc's are expensive stinky paperweights. After the cheap caps give out, they give out magic smoke, not fun.

Yes there are better ESC's out there. The Himodel was the "Flavor of the Day" for inexpensive ESC's some time ago. It gained popularity when people were experiencing problems with the Castles, etc. It was considered disposable. Is it a bad ESC?
Can't speak for others, But I've had mine for 2 years now. If it blows; Oh well. Technology has advanced since then. So maybe there is something better in the same price range. Without all the consistency problems that the Himodels had.

Naah! Everyone has their preferences. There was a time when people said that TP motors were trash, etc. Now I see more and more people using them. Same was said of Leopard Motors.
Things change in this hobby like the seasons. Up next week....Ketchup bottle racing...

There is NOTHING in the lower left hand corner of the home page! http://fightercatracing.com

I guess you have to JOIN his site to see his products? Now that's a really strange marketing tactic. ;-)

Why don't you email him? He will most likely try to get it out to you as inexpensively as possible. Use the Contact function, he replies pretty quick.

I'm in Canada and when I check out it says $30 for anything no matter how small but, when I order he has instructed me to cancel the order when in Paypal and then he will adjust the order to actual shipping if you want something different. After it's changed I just hit the check out function from my account.

I've asked him to try and see if this can be changed so it's not as much work.

                                Just ask.
