They are all the same design esc.

Different brand and package. Sometimes different caps and different fets.

My Mystery had crappy 220uF caps and the FDD8896 fet good to 30vdc MAX!

I would like to see the FET part number from the Hi-Model 4-8S esc. If the FET part # is different I would like to know but, 8S is over 30vdc fully charged.

It is a "kit" esc that some independant people are rebranding in China. I think Hi-Model or Suppo was the original.

Now there is: RC Smart, Flyermate, Skywing, Mystery, Hi-model, Super Simple, etc.. All very similar with slight component differences.

They use what they can get cheap I suppose.

I got rid of all the caps on my 4 layer project to be replaced by Etti board of 5 caps.

I'll take pics when I'm done, soon...

between myself and a few mates we brought around 15+ himodels over a 12 month period and there was at least 3 diffrent lots, as in fets and caps
the mysterys seem to be the same.
i assume that its pot luck and depends on what parts the manufacturer can get cheapest at the time

                  Is this a good combo?

                  This:
HiModel GX Seires 200A 4-8S Electric Speed Controller W/BEC Type GX-200A-BEC from manufacturer HiModel, in category Brushless Speed Control (BL ESC) - Air/ Helis, Electric Speed Control (ESC).

                  and this:
ETTI 63V 5000uF Capacitor Board from manufacturer ETTI, in category Brushless Speed Control (BL ESC) - Boats, Electric Speed Control (ESC).

                  And propper watercooling.

I prefer NO bec in my esc's and just use a Ubec instead.

Has anyone ran this esc on 6s with a high amp setup?

Ran it on a 4S today pulling 120 Amps. Will try this weekend with 6S. I have a BEC on it and also an Eagle Tree with GPS in the boat so it should be interesting. I ran the 120 version on a 5S pulling 121 Amps and it did ok even without a BEC. These are feeding a New 1515 in a VERY lightweight FG 30" Mono. Getting 48 MPH with a plastic prop 45 x 63 so it has potential............... when I finally have a chance to tweak it in with my friend Josh. (Wolf V)

I just bougth two of the 4-8s 200a from Himodel.

As i was popping of the cooling plate i noticed som odd soldering on both ESC`s.

                            Is this normal?

Probably one of the smartest things to do is pull them apart and check solder joints before ever running these.

                                Yes.

This is the Bec model that has motor leads soldered to top. The non-Bec which I have recommened more solders them on the bottom which is better IMO.
