    Kids and boats

Sometimes we all get an email that melts our hearts. Here is part of an email I got today....

"As you can see the kids boat is going well as per the photo. Jess had an impromptue race with Scooters big gasser and whooped him. The funny thing is she did not relise she was racing!! Just going round as fast as she felt comfortable and old Scoot could not come close!! Ha Ha. I told him his noisy, smelly tug boat is a good advert for FE."

Jess is this guy's 12 year old daughter. He is the single parent of 2 children but takes the time to make the kids a boat and include them in his fun. Apart from kicking Scooters a$$ his daughter is good at sign writing on his boats and from what I hear not bad with the Airbrush and a bit of paint.

Do any of you have similar stories or do similar things with your kids? It is really great to see a family playing and competing together.

Andy I did recognize the pond. Paddy I used to take my daughter fishing and rc boating (along with airbrushing and custom painting) when she was younger. But at the age of 16 boys and hanging out are more important. This past summer I took her to the pond with me to help shoot some video. If you listen to the audio in the video in my hurricane thread you will see how much she enjoys being with dear old dad.

She'll come back around Egneg, don't worry! Who wouldn't want to be around a Fembot at the pond?

Always the tough guy Andy!!! You did not fool Chuck but now I will tell everyone it is you and your daughter I am talking about. You are a big cream puff at heart Andy and I know you think the world of your daughter. It is great to see parents do things with their kids. I guess when she is 16 it will be a different story as Chuck pointed out. Until then get back out in the workshop and sand that boat back so she can paint it again. It should not take you any more than a week to get it ready for her.
Chuck, I agree with Meniscus and wonder how she could drag herself away from a FEMBOT member. Perhaps you need to wear more pink things to the pond Chuck
