Is 2300 the motor Kv? Is 2300 the maximum watts? What brand and size motor? What boat are you using? What prop? What battery? How will you run the boat? You don’t give us enough information to help you.

I see that as a 4s motor myself, but it can be used on 3s for sure.

You don't say what performance you are after from the setup, but if you are after planing FE performance out of it you will want a bigger prop than the 34 for sure, and very likely bigger than a 438 too, quite possibly too big for a 24.5" boat to handle.

Is the boat a surface drive setup or a submerged setup?
Is the hull a "V" Mono type, a sport hydro, or a rigger?

A couple pictures are worth a lot of words.

Just a heads up on the Leopard LBA motors, these are the lower powered 2 pole Leopards.

Apparently it’s a secret, I asked that several days ago...

It’s like pulling teeth.......someone asks for help but refuses to answer the questions we need to help him.

I think it is going to be my last post. Thanks for the reviews/knowledge! I didn't refuse at all, just didn't get everything you mentioned. Time to move on. Will still buy from Steve and only Steve. Martin; your answer tells me it is a amp hog. I go back when he was in Alaska and got the same crusty attitude.

Hi Dennis, there are many variables in arriving at a successful FE boat. All the questions are trying to identify the variables that are part of the equation. “Fluid” is an incredible resource. He can seem a bit crusty, as with my first encounter with him over 10 years, but he really is trying to help you. As are most of us on here.

The more info you can give us the better we can answer your question. A picture if you can post one would alleviate many of the questions.
