    Need Professional Help.

I purchased 3 new in the box Graupner Electro Vee Hulls.
They are 28.5” long with a beam of 8”
I need suggestions for a Brushless set up?
I’m not looking for a racing setup, just fast enough to have fun with my kids.
All three are going to be set up identical so we can race each other

    Motor size & KV
    ESC size
Lipo battery cells, Mah & C-Rating
    Surface or Submerged drive
    Prop shaft size

In my opinion I’d set it up something similar to an aquacraft revolt.
    3656 2000ish kv
    Seaking 120 esc
    4s2p or a single 4s 50c plus
    Tfl stinger and rudder
    3/16 shaft
    442 prop
Should rip, stay cool and be very durable.

Wow, that was my first FE boat!
Are you going to use the steerable outdrive? This will make them quite squirrelly, but are cheap and relatively simple.
A fixed strut or a stinger might be a better handling option. I’d be mounting it where the center of propshaft is 3/8” above the base of the vee, so it will be surface penetrating.

The above recipe sounds reasonable. The boat can handle the weight. We used to use 12 round cells, a brushed motor on a 3:1 gear reduction and a 42-45mm prop. Probably got mid to upper 20s.

With all the lift those hulls have, you don’t need a lot of power.
I’d be more inclined to try a 2700ish 36mm motor on 3S2p with 40mm prop. And maybe go up to a 42 if needed.
Maybe show us a picture of what you are starting with?

If you ever want to sell those steerable outdrives, keep me in mind.

The revolt setup would be perfect for that boat.

I would like to point out that the revolt motor is an 3656 1800kv motor.

The x442 would be an excellent prop.

        4s lipo 5000 mah 20c or greater.

        Surface drive.

          I have a ton of 3S 5000 40c lipo’s from my airplanes!

Should I increase the KV to use them or use them in series for a 6S setup & reduce KV?

You can run a single 3s with the suggested setup. The electro vee is a little smaller than the revolt and it probably have more lift. I would suggest 3s with the x442 or you can even get an m545 for 3s running with the suggested aquacraft 3656 1800kv.
