Sad day for Rc FE boaters and anyone that knew him....

I'm sad to say that our friend Doug Robichaud has passed away. Doug was a friend of many people in the fe boating community. He fought to make the rules fair and clear. And hosted fe racing events that were second to none. My kids and I had the opportunity to meet Doug in person at one of his Wisconsin FE events, he immediately won over my sons and I with his kind heart. Not to mention he made a mean spaghetti sauce that my kids and I will never forget.

Prayers for his wife and family. Though I never met Doug we frequently had email discussions.

    RIP Doug

        O man..

        Doug "Drobe" RIP bud......

As sad as this is for us and his family lets all take comport in knowing he is FE racing on the big pond.. Looking down saying.. I really do have you all beat.....

        Perfect water every day
        Perfect winds every day
        Perfect weather every day
        Perfect boat setups every day
And along with this he stands next to the most perfect driver, competitor and racing buddy one could pray for.

My story is the same as Steven's...just a different year. He gave me lots of crap to come up and drive 10 hours to race...I did and had the best time with my son. Went to his house and had the spagetti dinner. Paid people to sit at the pond all night and watch our stuff.

Doug knew what it took to run a first class race. For those of you that never went to one of Doug's races...it was the best and one of the best spots to have a race.

Certainly the picture in the website tells it all and I know all of these men and boys in the picture will have a heavy heart for several days over this one.

          Gone...but never forgotten.

Thanks for the great times and memories.

Doug had a passion for F/E and for life itself, he will be missed by all in the community and elsewhere.
RIP Dougie, I hope that you and Trent hit the water this morning!
