Never had a rigger before unless you want to call my vintage Graupner Tornado one? It looks close to the idea. I was originally thinking a JAE33 or ML380 but was thinking maybe I should start smaller? Or should I just pull the trigger on a big rigger? I just run for fun but have a need for speed.Comment

Or the 17" RBC Fast4ward which is a bit lighter on its feet and less thirsty than the 18" JAE Mini Sprint if you favour runtime over speed. Both are good and quick boats.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment

Joe at Zippkits is very close to releasing a new 26FE rigger. We have been testing it for the past few weeks. It is a fit between the Mini Sprint and the 33FE. On 3s power with a 28mm or 29mm motor we are getting 50 to 55 mph in heat racing trim. It is virtually the same size as the .12 Nitro rigger. There is ample room for any battery combination you might want to use. It is like all other JAE (Zippkits) boats. It is a quality boat with outstanding building instructions. Plus, it doesn't break the bank to build! You will be very happy with this kit.Comment

emspjay.
I would agree with the others here. A larger rigger would probably be better.
But in answer to your original question. Yes I've built one.
I built it to mount a ducted fan on top of it. But as with a lot of my projects, it was shelved & not finished. I'll get to it one day.
But here is the basic structure if it is any help.
