Inlet tube locations

I was thinking of installing my inlet tubes on my Genesis 900 through the transom so that the tubes have a straight shot to the motor/esc.. are there any pros or cons to this setup?

That should work fine....I have done that on several hulls... Just make sure the tubes don't pinch at full rudder deflection.
