    Burned up speedcontrols

I have burned up two 100 amp speed controls (x power) with this set up 2700 kv L series 2 pole motor , 440 octura prop , two 3s lipo in parallel 2200mah each 30c each , motor temp was fine 85 degree batteries were fine and the speed control was getting 150 degrees before we burned them up on only minute run time

FeCalc estimates this setup would use 100 amps in a cat hull and 110 amps in a mono.

The motor is only using about 900 watts. Steven recommends not using more than 70 amps on the X-power 100 amp controllers.

70 amps constant, 100 amp max.

The aquacraft controllers seem to handle a lot more than they are rated. I have read some users are running 540 9XL's on them.
