    Twin setups

This is my first time in over 25 plus years of RC boating that I am going to give twin drives a shot. I plan to run one 6s pack to each esc and I am wondering if that will work good. I am concerned that since I mainly run around bouys and turn right that one esc and motor will work harder than the other and in turn one battery will get worked harder also.

To solve the issue of the batteries use esc with two battery wires and connect both esc to both batteries, this should keep the load equal on both cells.

Yeah I really never saw the need for two of everything but decided it's time to give it a try.

So is this basically what I will have to do to parallel the esc's?

Larry the link doesn't work. Do you also parallel the esc's in your setup?

                  YES

Also put a plug in the black wire between the two ESC's, because you will want to disconnect them from each other to program them.

I'm assuming all the in line fuses in that schematic are omitted.

What hull are you using, a cat I presume, and how are you configuring your props. The way larry does it with the props out the sponsons it makes sense to parallel the batts, and speedos, but if the props are near the center of the boat, first you don't need to parallel the batts or speedos, and there is no need to run counter rotating props. I have done extensive practice with this setup, as larry has done on his setup. 2 different ways to skin a "CAT" pun intended!!!!!

Mike, its a cat and the props are out on the sponsons. I have seen the nitro rigger guys run twin setups without counter rotating the props with great success.

My Twin FE rigger do not use counter rotating props and runs really strong. In this case it is important to mount the struts with offset to compensate the overveer caused by the propwalk, btw you have a large selection of left props to test.Gill
