For a motor the same size and KV --- better made, more reliable, and more power.

        TP 4050 - 40mm X 83mm

        1577 KV - 4Y

I run a pair of these in my Twin Aeromarine 36" Avenger Cat but in a 6S2P setup.

77 Mph - set up for oval racing.

First place at the IMPBA - CAN-AM race two weeks ago.

If you are going to stay with the 5S setup you may want to go with the 1700KV - 7D motor, or even a 1950Kv - 6D for short runs (2 MIN. MAX)

If you want high 60's. on 5S - the 1577 Kv will not get you there.

The twin cats are certainly quick boats. One of our club members runs a twin and its in the low 70,s plus it handles the turns very well. hey Paul.

Not sure on the top speed Roland. I've never had a GPS in it. Should try it one day.

It would be in the low 70,s Paul. you,ve only seen your hull running at speed up high in the drivers stand area not at water level .

is the tp motor the only choice besides leopard to replace these motors, tp only come in 8mm shaft. would like to avoid changing collets if possible.
